Assalamu alaikum warahmatullah! We pray that you are in the best of health and iman on this blessed first day of Ramadan!
So much beneficial information is shared during Ramadan alhamdulillah, what a blessed time for change, learning and improvement. Though we may start consuming it all enthusiastically at first, often we can end up feeling deflated, guilty and demotivated, if we are not able to keep up with it all after the first week or even the first few days…
‘If you do what you always did, you’ll get what you always got’, this has stuck with me ever since I first heard it, so simple and seemingly obvious, yet shockingly overlooked when it comes to Ramadan goals.
Try something different this year insha’Allah.
We present to you a series of short, concise and very manageable chunks of information for each day. One Qur’an, one Hadith, one Sunnah dua and a personal reflection suggestion for each day, that’s it! Of course, the more you engage and reflect, the more you will get from it. However, even if you simply read it and reflect at that moment (and don’t take it any further) then there is still benefit insha’Allah.
You know yourself and your situation better than anyone else. The key to consistency is doing what is realistic and manageable for YOU, don’t compare yourself to others standards. So purify your intention, set a time in the day that you will commit yourself to reading these posts (max 5 minutes needed) and click the link below to begin, bismillah!
This series will be written by Umm Amaarah, mother of two, qualified solicitor and an Alimiyyah student. Please make dua for her and her family if you benefit from these posts in any way. Jazakamullahu khairan.
