Ramadan Reflections Day 11

Qur’an Reflection

“Say, nothing will reach us except what Allah has decreed for us. He is our Protector. And upon Allah, should the believers place trust.” (Surah Taubah, Verse 51)

Such a beautiful verse. Sometimes we want something so much, however, the decree of Allah may not allow us to have what we want. And as Allah says, perhaps, something you want is bad for you, and something you don’t want is good for you. Forever be happy with the decree of Allah. Our life unfolds as He has planned, and may it be a life of obedience.

Hadith Reflection

“The real patience is at the first stroke of a calamity.” (Bukhari)

After questioning, crying and talking about the situation and to then exercise patience, is not considered true patience. True patience is when it is implemented at the very first hurdle. To turn straight to Allah and say, “O Allah, I don’t know why I’m in such a such situation. Please make it easy for me and allow me to pass this test.”

Sunnah Dua

“Oh Allah, I seek your protection from the trials of the Hellfire and the punishment of the Hellfire” (Bukhari)

Personal Reflection

Young children bring much joy to one’s life. If you have children, then plan/do something special for them today. If you don’t have children, then do something nice for the children around you, nieces, nephews or younger siblings.
