It saddens me to come to the end of our Ramadan reflection series this year. I sincerely pray that Allah (swt) accepts all our fasts, deeds, efforts and duas of Ramadan.
I have thoroughly enjoyed writing these daily reminders and I myself have benefited from them immensely. I pray you all have too.
“He desires that you should complete the number and that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for His having guided you, and that you may give thanks” (Surah Baqarah, verse 185)
Allah tells us to celebrate Eid by giving thanks to Him for giving us the many opportunities in Ramadan. Please take some time out today to read upon the sunnah ways of celebrating Eid.
The Prophet ﷺ said “You had two days when you would play, but Allah (SWT) has given Muslims something instead that is better than them: the day of Al-Fitr and the day of Al-Adha.” (Nasa’i)
“O Allah, there is no ease other than what You make easy. If You please, You ease sorrow.”
Let us continue the spirit of fasting beyond Ramadan, by fasting the 6 days in Shawwal “whoever fasted during Ramadan and then fasts another six days in Shawwal will be rewarded as if he fasted during the whole year”(Muslim).
Furthermore, throughout the year let’s aim to fulfil the sunnah fasts of Mondays and Thursdays.
Remember to give Zakat Al Fitr before Eid prayer, it is an obligation upon us to help the needy to join in with the Eid celebration.
An early Eid Mubarak to you all. Have a fun enjoyable Eid with your loved ones.
May Allah accept it from us, and from you. Ameen.
